Basically, this is half a full bison hide, with the chap and mane hair (the course scratchy stuff) cut away before the half hide is garment tanning and then sheared to a uniform length. It is similar in look to sheared lamb or sheared beaver. It is soft, luxurious, and ready for what ever project you may start – pillows, chair covering, décor, seat pad and more. This is the hide pieces we start with to build our bison shearling vests and blankets
Sheared 5/8" thick. Approximately 5' X 18" (see photo). American bison, tanned at Moyle Mink and Tanning, Heyburn, ID.
