Lot 52a $20 State of Texas Treasury Warrant dated in ink "Feb. 23, 1865"
This is the real thing. We've had some reprint/pretend .... but this is genuine historic Texas paper.
This Treasury Warrant is Payable to O. M. Roberts, likely Oran Milo Roberts, Colonel of the 11th Texas infantry and future Texas Governor.
Warrants are similar to checks but payable by a state or governmental entity, in this case Texas.
Good or Better condition. No tears or creases. Excellent ink color
