SALE SALE - "Alaskan Big Game Musket" - truly one of a kind. Massive!
The butt stock is 6.5" tall, 2" wide and 15" is circumerence. The barrel is 39" and it is 54" overall. I cannot think of what it was like to put it to your shoulder and touch it off!
An obsolete 8 gauge shotgun had a muzzle opening of 0.835". This one is just a hair under 1". And some of these go way high pricewise!!
I've bought this firearm almost 10 years ago as part of a group of antique weapons. It was sold as "An Alaskan Big Game Gun/Musket". It is a wall hanger for sure ... but you need a good sturdy set of hooks. It weights just over 11 pounds.
I've had a lot of really educated gun nuts come through and while they can usually identify several of the other guns I have, no one has been able to identify this one.
It is solid, but non functional. No visible makers marks or s/n
