The Teddy Roosevelt Presidents Day Collection

The Teddy Roosevelt Presidents Day Collection

Not taking sides, mind you, but Theodore "Teddy" Roosevelt was directly and deeply involved with the efforts to keep the American bison from extinction.  Yes, he hunted them, but like a true sportsman he wanted to have them around for generations.  He was directly responsible for the creation of both Yellowstone National Park and the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge near Lawton, OK.  Both places played key roles in helping preserve and regenerate bison populations

He was the first President of the American Bison Society.  He was at the forefront; bucked Congress for funds to do these things ... so Teddy is our President's Day Hero.  Caprock Canyon State Park here in the Texas Panhandle - the home to the Texas State Bison Herd - even named their little lake "Lake Theo" in his honor (well, it is called Lake Theo ... but I am not 100% certain why).

In his honor and memory we offer these almost completely commercial sale items for your consideration ... and hopefully purchase.  That way you can continue this celebration of politics (ugh) and bison (yea) for years to come.

The book selection here is REALLY special;  pay attention!  Some are by contemporaries and collaboraters with Rooseveldt.  Among those are Earnest Harold Baines and William T. Hornady; both involved with the American Bison Society formation.

And, you will get a FREE picture/print of the artwork at the beginning of this Collection - this here 8.5 x 11.  They are also available for just

Best to all
