Thank all who "voted" in the little email survey we just completed; The overwhelming choice ... both by those who bid and those who did not was MORE AUCTIONS. I'll get them going. Bison vests and coats first; Jewelry next. (and I've got some pieces that have never been on the website, too).
More "New Auctions", "New Stuff" and "Sale" being added as quickly as I can. Keep checking!! Thanks.

BWC Casual Crew Bison/Merino Socks

A blend of Bison down and merino wool, these socks are soft, long wearing and oh so comfortable. Very warm, very light and not restrictive.

A "true rib" jersey knit crew sock of the old-school variety, this sock has the great foot fit and stay of our technical socks. It is insulating, soft and durable,  and wicks moisture away like nothing you’ve ever experienced.

Our lightest weight sock, but designed to insulate for extreme warmth in cooler climates, and dry cool comfort in hot environments, with superior moisture regain properties, almost double the wicking of fine wool. (keeps your feet dry and sweat free)

Exceptionally durable for outdoor activities or in your loafers on the way to work. Machine washable.

These socks are incredibly easy to care for and due to their antimicrobial properties, feel free to wear them a few times before washing. But when they do need to be cleaned, simply machine wash warm, then toss them in the dryer.

Not good

The socks arrived quickly but they are not good. The biggest problem-they are itchy. And they are not warm. For such a price….. I should have bought socks somewhere else and would have saved a lot of money.

Hi and sorry you are not happy. Just send them back and we will refund your money so you can go buy whatever else you like. Put a note in with them that says 'refund. pls'.
As to the 'itchy', these merino blend socks need several washings to soften and bloom. Not so with the bison/silk blends or with the bison/yak blends. And yes, they cost a bit more, but are made for more 'cold' activities. The sock you purchased is a single knit rather than the terry loop in most of our active socks.
Anyway, sorry you are disappointed but just send them back and we will refund your purchase price, ok?
Best wishes

Cecil

Christmas gift for my son-in-laws

The socks were itchy and not overly soft. It was THE most embarassing Christmas gift we gave to ANYONE over the past 5 years. Terrible product. We will mentioned in to ALL social media. Twitter, FaceBook, Instagram, and all news

Great socks

They are honestly the best socks I’ve ever owned. I love them.
I just wish they were cheaper. 55-60$ Canadian for a pair of socks after delivery is tough. I do intend to buy more in the future I just can’t afford to buy 10 pairs all at once.

It’s gross but I wear the same pair every day during the week because I work outside and they keep my feet warmer and dryer than any other pair I’ve tried.
Warm feet are much more important than nice smelling feet…..

Richard: Thank you ... and you are not alone in getting multiple days wear without appreciable foot odor. A number of our hunters, who are putting a lot of miles on their feet and use to go through several pair of other 'good' socks per day (to keep the scent from affecting the hunt) find the same thing... couple days of comfort, dry feet and no noticable odor.

Now the reported record was a Colorado Elk hunter who told me he went 11 days on one pair! (Now that IS gross!). It is also 'sock' abuse ... and has been reported to the authorities!

Sock it to Me!

I've had a couple of pair I'd wear casually for years. I've always liked the feel and the way they warm/cool...sounds oxymoronic, huh? I thinks its their ability to wick away moisture, but retain warmth when needed. Pretty good year round combo! Anyway, I decided to ditch my old "dress socks" and bought a number of brown/black crew socks to fill the newly created void. Comfort, style, looking like an all around winner...and the socks are pretty cool too!

Pat: Thanks again and thank you for the review; It does seem counter-intuitive that one sock can both keep warm and keep cool ... but then that is what good 'insulation' does, right? Best wishes and stay safe.

Favorite socks ever!

The Christmas gift to my husband has expanded into gifts for all our family - son in Ohio, brother-in-law in Florida, and many more.
They're great for hiking, though I find that folks wear them pretty much all the time - for comfort now and warmth later in the fall.
Kudos to Herd Wear! and many thanks -

Cindy (and extended family!); Thank you all. It's you folks that keep us moving with this bison fiber production. It is a passion, a labor of love and actually a benefit to the ranchers that keep bison coming back , but we could not keep up without our loyalists ... you being right up there in front. Thank you, one more time.
