Yes, folks ... BIG NEWS and GOOD NEWS. I am here through end of July. Then the Goodnight Historical Center takes over the store and land . A lot of our best products will be carried over into their store, thankfully. I am also building a new house on the North side of US 287 .... and (sssshhhhh) most likely will still have jerky, meat and a few other things available there. No; we are not "quitting" - HERD WEAR will continue (while I spend more time fishing and with family). Be sure you are on our email list and also on Buffalo Wool Co's list. Keep checking the blog posts on this website as well ... i will be adding info there about the events ... and they are lining up sweet! Come see us while we are here!
Yes, folks ... BIG NEWS. The Texas Historical Commission has bought the store in Goodnight. We will be there through the end of July, 2024 ... and then on line or by phone. No; we are not "quitting" - HERD WEAR will continue. Be sure you are on our email list and also on Buffalo Wool Co's list.

Midwest Glove - Elk Hide Work Gloves (or for driving, hunting, everyday)- Bison Brown Color

$35.00
Size

Elk is softer and even more supple than bison ... and just a bit thinner.  That means more hand and finger dexterity with the glove on.  Like bison and deer, the fiber structure of elk leather is multi-directional ...which means it flexes in all directions without stiffening and very little stretching.

Plenty tough and protective.

Terrible fingers.

The fingers are sooooooo short it’s ridiculous. They are defects or made for a different culture than Americans. Guaranteed to be a waste of your money. Oh, while the 4 fingers are super short, the thumb is 1 inch longer than mine. LoL

Hey: If you want, just send them back and we'll refund your purchase ... including shipping if you are that unhappy. I'd sure like to see a picture of your hand and the glove as between the bison, the elk and the buckskin I can't even count how many pair of Midwest gloves we've sold - well over 1500 pair... it is a crapload... and if anything, the fingers may be a bit long for most folk.
Anyway, just send them back and we'll get square.

Sorry for the disappointment, but ....
Best wishes

Cecil

Really enjoy these gloves

I find these gloves to be a pretty good middle ground glove. Thick enough that I'm not worried about babying them, supple enough to get decently good feel of whatever you're working on. Great to have with you whenever you're not 100% sure what your day is going to bring you. Mine haven't completely broken in yet, and I'm still surprised how good the feel is given how sturdy they are.

Last gloves you will ever need to buy.

Toughest most comfortable gloves I have ever bought, they are bound to last a long time. I actually bought these as work gloves but they are such fine quality you almost hate to work in them. Great quality, thanks.

Great Product

I bought these gloves expecting to get a pretty decent glove that I could use this coming winter for firewood related chores. Instead, I got a glove so well made and elegant I almost hate to use it for anything but driving. The Elk Hide is perfectly tanned, substantial, supple, and comfortable. These gloves are obviously made by craftsmen that still take pride in their work. As a side benefit, I bought a pair for my daughter and she is thrilled with them as well.
Personally, I don't think you can wrong with these gloves.

Joe: Thank the great folk at Midwest Glove in Missouri. They do take pride ..good ole' American pride .... in their craft. We do appreciate them and thank you for recognizing it.

Glove review

Wow, what a great quality elk hide glove. I purchased a size medium as I like a snug fit. They felt a little tight in the fingers until I drove about 10 minutes behind the wheel of the car… B

Fantastic, solid gloves.

The review says they aren't for rugged use but I have found them to hold up to wood cutting, greenbriar pulling, and fire pit management.
They are classy and I'm probably taking them out of their intended domain but by golly, with care these will be the last pair of work gloves I buy.
So good mother is sending a pair to her son up in the Canada.

(chuckle) - I love 'thoughtful' reviews, with wit and spirit - thank you for that, for sure. As to us and the gloves, we would much rather under promise and over perform ... whenever possible. Just glad you are satisfied.

Best wishes
